Brewing Guide

How to brew your
perfect cup.

Two methods, one goal — a cup worth stopping for.

Pour Over / V60

Brewed to Perfection — every chapter begins with a well-brewed cup.

Coffee 15g
Water 225g
Temperature 93°C
Grind Size Medium Fine
Brew Time 2:30–3:00
Ratio 1:15
01

The Ratio

15g of medium-fine ground coffee to 225g of filtered water. Follow this 1:15 ratio to get the most out of every bean.

02

The Water

Heat your water to 93°C (200°F). Just off the boil is ideal — hot enough to extract fully, gentle enough to preserve the floral notes.

03

The Pour

Pour 45g of water over the grounds and allow it to bloom for 30 seconds. Then slowly pour the remaining water in steady circular motions until you reach 225g total. Aim for a brew time of 2:30 to 3:00 minutes.

🫖

French Press

Full-bodied and rich — a slower, more immersive experience.

Coffee 30g
Water 500ml
Temperature 94°C
Grind Size Coarse
Brew Time 4 mins
Ratio 1:16
01

Preheat the Press

Pour hot water into your French press to warm it up. Swirl and discard. This keeps your brew temperature stable throughout.

02

Add Coffee

Grind 30g coarsely — like rough sea salt. Add to the press. Coarse grind is key for French press — too fine and it'll be bitter and muddy.

03

Pour & Stir

Pour 500ml of water evenly over the grounds. Give it one gentle stir to make sure all the coffee is saturated. Place the lid on but don't plunge yet.

04

Wait 4 Minutes

Set a timer and step away. Let the coffee steep undisturbed for 4 minutes. This is your moment — breathe, stretch, look out the window.

05

Press & Pour

Press the plunger down slowly and steadily. Pour immediately — don't let it sit or it'll over-extract. Serve and enjoy the full, rich body of your cup.

💡

Pro tip: Always use freshly ground coffee and filtered water for the best results. Store your Morning Chapter beans in an airtight container away from heat and light.
